Building Memories

On a cold and blustery Texas day, in February 1973, my father Mike, my uncle Doug and their friend Mike spent the day together. They laughed and took pictures. All of those pictures only had two of them in any one shot. From two of these pictures, I created a new composition that showed all three friends together. For me, this was like placing all of my childhood heroes together.

Please contact me if you'd like to commission me to Build Memories for you.

A portrait is a wonderful way to capture a loved one and preserve a single moment forever. The portrait above is my daughter Melany when she was 10 years old.

About the Artist

I have been doing something creative all my life. As a child I drew pictures and wrote stories, and then my grandmother taught me how to sew and I started making clothes and other things for myself. As an adult, these skills have evolved into something greater than just a hobby. I earned my B.S. in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. This education provided me with a strong foundation in the principles of design, art history, advertising methods and practices, web design and much more.
